You cannot shoot accurately with undersized cylinder throats. They will squash down your bullet and the rifling cannot grab it properly. Oversized cylinder throats can also be a problem with cast bullets. The propellant gasses pass the bullet and strip the lubricant away. Thus, you end up shooting a dry bullet which leads to leading. Leading is cumulative. It will just get worse. Cylinder throats are best/accurately measured with MINUS pin gauges. You can use a jacketed bullet if you don't have pin gauges because it is a known diameter. It must pass through the throats! All throats need to be the same size or you will drive yourself crazy. Many of my clients discovered that they were spectacular pistol shots after I corrected their cylinder throats. Frequently, cylinder throat correction is all a sixgun might need however if we discover you also have barrel restriction I will guide you through the firelapping process. Let me get you started on the path to being more accurate. Full size cylinders start at 65 dollars, Single Six cylinders are 45 dollars. If all you need is a tweak, you get a refund. If all you need is a different diameter cast bullet I am not going to charge you money to tell you that, shipping excluded. I have many many successful clients. Do your research.
